Solar in the City

As a major step towards accomplishing its sustainability goals, the City of Lebanon recently signed a contract with ReVision Energy to construct solar PV arrays on eight City properties. Construction should start in the next couple of weeks. It is anticipated that this project will save the City roughly $12,000 per year over the first five years, and $740,000 over 20 years.

Downtown District
Community Conversation

As a follow up to the 2016 Downtown Visioning Study, the Planning & Development Department is working with the community to craft new design regulations for development in Downtown Lebanon. Join the Community Conversation on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00pm in Lebanon City Hall Council Chambers.

E-Bikes in Lebanon 

Have you recently seen someone riding their bike up a hill without using much effort? Maybe their bike looked hefty or had extra attachments on the frame? If so, you were most likely looking at an electric bike. Electric bikes sometimes referred to as an "e-bike", are a growing trend in transportation. Since e-bikes are a newer mode of transportation, regulations are still being developed. Hike to Boston Lot Lake

Join UVLT and the City of Lebanon on August 21st for an after-work hike around Boston Lot Lake. We will meet in the parking area at 5:30pm on Route 10 and take a 2.4 mile stroll out to and around the lake! This is a moderately difficult hike. Bring water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Dogs are welcome!

Hop on the Bus

Are you curious about transit? The Hop on the Bus event is a great way to receive hands-on guidance while riding the bus for the first time. This September 5th event will provide a free, round-trip ride from Kilton Public Library to Lebanon Farmers' Market. All riders will receive a $5 token to spend at the market.

Lebanon Police and Fire Departments will be sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive at The Courtyard Marriott on Friday, August 23rd, from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
