July 4 Fireworks

July 4th Hours & Events

In observance of Independence Day, please note that City Hall, Lebanon Libraries, Lebanon Landfill, and all other City administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019.  

Check out the lineup of July 4th events the Recreation & Parks Department has scheduled for you at LebanonNH.gov/July4th

Please also remember that ALL retail fireworks other than sparklers are prohibited in the City of Lebanon.

C&D Disposal Update

On April 17, 2019, notice was provided by the City that, as of May 1, 2019, Construction & Demolition debris (C&D) would no longer be accepted at the Lebanon Solid Waste Facility. The notice included information about three locations where C&D could be disposed, one of which was the Town of Hartford, VT. We have been notified by the Town of Hartford (hartford-vt.org) that as of June 28, 2019, they too will no longer be accepting C&D debris.

Two local options for disposal of C&D are:

Hazardous Waste Collection Day 

A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held at Lebanon High School on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 9:00AM – NOON. This event is held at Lebanon High School to better accommodate the large turnout. Learn more about which items are accepted at this event.

Landfill Punch Cards For Sale at Local Merchants July 1st

To increase the availability of purchasing landfill punch cards, Lebanon Landfill punch cards will be available for purchase at the following local merchant locations beginning July 1st:

  • Lavalley’s Building Supply
  • West Lebanon Feed and Supply
  • Jake’s Market (Lebanon location).

Lebanon Fire Department Receives Lifeline Silver Plus EMS Award

The Lebanon Fire Department recently received the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline® EMS Silver Plus Award for implementing quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who experience severe heart attacks.

Upcoming LPD Golf Tournament

The annual Golf Tournament on July 28th is coming up fast and the Lebanon Police Department still has spots available for teams. $440 for a team includes green fees, cart, shirt, and luncheon. They also have multiple sponsorship level opportunities. All funds raised support our youth and community programs. In addition to their prize raffle, this year they will be adding a silent auction with autographed items from the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics, and golf items!

LPD Golf Tournament

Farmers' Market POP! Program

The Lebanon Farmers' Market is happening today, Thursday, June 27th from 4pm to 7pm in Colburn Park. They've ordered up excellent weather with a full field of vendors arriving and live music performed by Intellectual Property.

This Thursday is also the first week of the Power of Produce (POP) Program, a free program open to children ages 5 through 12. Bring your children to the market where they will participate in an activity, receive a reusable shopping bag, and get 3 POP tokens to spend on fresh vegetables and fruits at the market! It’s a wonderful way to connect children with healthy eating, healthy shopping, local farms, and fun.

Summer Concert Series 

The Summer Concert Series is back in full swing on Colburn Park with free concerts performed by local performers as well as nationally renowned and Grammy-nominated artists every Monday and Thursday evening beginning at 7:00pm throughout the summer.
  • Front Porch Concert Series (June 27th) performed by The Revenants.  

  • Monday Night Concert (July 1st) performed by Upper Valley Community Band.

Friday Funday on Colburn Park – Friday, June 29th 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, Colburn Park; Summertime is here, and Leb Rec has the gear. Come play, meet and make new friends. For those babies that will stare at the leaves and the 4-year-old that can’t seem to sit down. Come enjoy the sun, shade and social time out and enjoy the park. This is a casual drop-in program for children ages baby to 5 to come and play.

Tuesdays Fitness in the Park with CCBA – Tuesday, July 2nd 12 pm to 12:45 pm, Colburn Park; Bring your water and lunch to enjoy afterwards.
