Solar in Lebanon 

The City of Lebanon has selected ReVision Energy to install solar photovoltaic arrays in eight selected locations throughout the City. A presentation of the proposed project is scheduled for the May 15th City Council meeting. Construction would begin this summer.

Wild About Lebanon: Walk or Bike the Mascoma River Greenway

Join us on May 11th at 1PM for a joint event with Wild About Lebanon and Mascoma River Greenway to walk or bike from APD parking lot to Glen Road and back. The trail is flat, paved, and great for walking or biking!

K9 Awareness Day

The annual Police K9 Awareness Day will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at West Lebanon Feed & Supply. In addition to live K9 demonstrations, there will be food, games, prize giveaways, photos with a Police K9, opportunities to support our local K9 law enforcement program, and fun for the entire family! The City Clerk's Office will also do a Top Dog presentation at noon!

Dog License Reminder

As a reminder, dog licenses were due as of April 30, 2019, however, as long as your dog is licensed by May 31, 2019, you will not pay additional fines and late fees. Find out how to get your dog licensed to avoid additional fees and civil forfeiture fines.

Curb the Car Day is May 17th

Bike, Walk, Bus, Skate, Skip, Sprint... or all of the above! Just don't miss Upper Valley Curb the Car Day and E-Bike Workshop on Friday, May 17th from 7:00am-10:00am. Lebanon will once again host an "energizer station" with snacks from Co-op Food Stores and other partners, helpful alternative transportation mode and route information, some other goodies, and good company.

Recreation & Parks Highlights

Spring Hiking (All Ages) – Friday, May 10th, 10am to 12pm, APD Trailhead; Join us on Fridays for hiking on the APD Nature Trails. Bring snacks, water bottle, backpack, and hiking boots.

Open Gym Basketball – Tuesday, May 14th, 8pm to 10pm, Hanover Street School Gym; Informal drop-in basketball for adults 18 and up. Call Leb Rec for an access code at 603-448-5121.

Wednesday’s Rail Trail Strolls – Wednesday, May 15th,  9:30am to 10:30am; Get outside with your tots in tow, or in a stroller and come join Leb Rec on the Northern Rail Trail. Bring your little ones in a stroller, carrier or if they want to walk and let’s explore together.

National Ride of Silence – Wednesday, May 15th 6:15 pm, Lebanon Mall; To honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. The ride also seeks to raise awareness that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways and to ask automobile drivers to share the road respectfully with one another. View complete details.
