Top Dog Winners Announced 

At the May 1st City Council Meeting, City Clerk Sandra Allard and her staff, along with Mayor Timothy McNamara, chose and announced the winners of the Top Dog Contest. The Top Dog and two runners-up were randomly drawn from 357 applicants. The City Clerk then announced her Choice Award winner. Watch the video to see the drawing and announcements.

Tunnel Rehabilitation Project Community Conversation

Please join representatives from the Lebanon Public Works Department and staff from Vanasse Hangen Brustlin (VHB) to review 30% design plans for the Downtown Tunnel Rehabilitation Project. This meeting will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 6PM at River Valley Community College and is open to the public. Questions are welcome. Refill NOT Landfill Winner!

The final winner of the Refill NOT Landfill pledge drawing was Jennifer Riccio. Congratulations Jennifer! The pledge drive is now closed but we wanted to thank all who participated by pledging to Refill NOT Landfill during the month of April. Swearing In and Awards Ceremony

On April 26, 2019, the Lebanon Police Department held a Swearing In and Awards Ceremony in the department’s training room. Newly hired Officer Scelza was sworn in, and several awards were presented to Officers and department staff.

Curb the Car Day is May 17th

Bike, Walk, Bus, Skate, Skip, Sprint... or all of the above! Just don't miss Upper Valley Curb the Car Day and E-Bike Workshop on Friday, May 17th from 7:00am-10:00am. Lebanon will once again host an "energizer station" with snacks from Co-op Food Stores and other partners, helpful alternative transportation mode and route information, some other goodies, and good company.

Spring Summer 2019 Program Guide

Recreation & Parks Highlights


Spring Hiking (All Ages) – Friday, May 3rd 10am to 12pm, APD Trailhead; Join us on Fridays for hiking on the APD Nature Trails. Bring snacks, water bottle, backpack, and hiking boots.

Community Clean Up Day – Saturday, May 4th, 9am to 12pm, Colburn Park and Kilton Library; Co-Sponsored by Lebanon Recreation & Parks and Lebanon Conservation Commission. Gloves and highly visible clothing are recommended but no special equipment is needed. Trash bags provided. Families, community organizations, neighborhood groups are all welcome. Open Gym Basketball – Tuesday, May 7th, 8pm to 10pm, Hanover Street School Gym; Informal drop-in basketball for adults 18 and up. Call Leb Rec for an access code at 603-448-5121.

YOLO Trip: Tandem Hang Gliding – Registration Deadline: Wednesday, May 8th; Come join us on June 8th for a tandem flight and enjoy the splendor of the Connecticut River Valley from the air. This is a great way to experience high altitude hang gliding. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Wednesday’s Rail Trail Strolls – Wednesday, May 8th,  9:30am to 10:30am; Get outside with your tots in tow, or in a stroller and come join Leb Rec on the Northern Rail Trail. Bring your little ones in a stroller, carrier or if they want to walk and let’s explore together.

Lebanon Farmers’ Market – Thursday, May 16th, 4pm to 7pm, Colburn Park; Enjoy wonderful selections of local fresh produce, plants, prepared foods, baked goods, and handmade crafts. Please support our local farmers and vendors by shopping at the Lebanon Farmers’ Market! Live music each week performed by folk and traditional musicians from around New England.
