2019 Top Dog Contest Now Open!

The Lebanon City Clerk's Office proudly presents its 8th Annual "Top Dog" contest. Could your dog be Lebanon's next Top Dog? Each year the City Clerk's Office hosts a contest for Lebanon's Top Dog. This year they are adding a "Clerk's Choice" award in addition to the Top Dog award. The contest is open to most dog owners whose dogs are registered in the City of Lebanon. (Please see rules for complete details and exclusions.)

Rabies Clinic and Dog Licensing Event

The City Clerk’s office is also excited to announce that they are teaming up with Stonecliff Animal Clinic to offer a Rabies Vaccination Clinic and Dog Licensing event.

Spring is here and that means it is once again time to license your dogs! Renewal letters are being mailed to all Lebanon dog owners. When you receive your letter, please take a few minutes to review the information located at the bottom.

Pledge to Refill NOT Landfill 

During the month of April, the Lebanon Solid Waste Division, in cooperation with the Hanover Consumer Cooperative (COOP), is asking everyone to make the pledge to reduce waste. As an added incentive, the COOP will be awarding reusable/refillable prize packages to randomly selected participants who make the commitment to Refill NOT Landfill. The online pledge form will open on April 1st and winners will be announced each week. Take a look at the generous prizes being offered and find out how you can participate by visiting LebanonNH.gov/Refill

New Electric Vehicle Subcommittee

The Lebanon Energy Advisory Committee (LEAC) has started a new subcommittee to help travelers transition to electric vehicles (EVs). The City is thinking about how to help people make the transition. Find out how you can join the discussion.

Councilor Prentiss Participates in Governor Sununu Westboro Yard Press Conference

On March 21, 2019, former Lebanon Mayor and current City Councilor, Suzanne M. Prentiss, participated in a press conference held by Governor Sununu regarding the $570,000 the Governor has placed in his proposed State budget for the demolition of the buildings in the Westboro Yard. Lebanon City Council has led the effort to obtain funding from Governor Sununu in the State budget to demolish the buildings.

Police Citizens Academy

On March 21st, Citizen Academy participants joined the Lebanon Police Department to gain insight into what police officers do every day. During the session, they got to interact with the officers, learn the operations of the department, and tour the facility. Lebanon Farmers’ Market – Applications due Monday, April 1st; As we enter our 17th summer of the Lebanon Farmers’ Market, we celebrate the ways the market brings the community together to enjoy local agriculture, foods, arts and music. We are excited about the 2019 season! Apply online at LebanonFarmersMarket.org.

Lebanon Food Truck Festival – Tickets on sale beginning Monday, April 1st; Coming back to you in 2019 with a two-day event. Sample from a variety of New England food trucks and enjoy drinks from Salt hill Pub. Listen to performances from The Brooks Hubbard Band or The Tricksters Band. Purchase your tickets online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Couch to 5k Kickoff Meeting – Tuesday, April 2nd 7:15 pm, Cioffredi & Associates; This introductory program literally walks then runs you through the basics. Designed with the out of shape or beginner in mind.  Includes UVRC membership, race shirt, race entry and coaching. Ends with the Red, White and Blue 5k on July 4th. Spring Quilter’s Retreat – Friday, April 5th 6 pm to 9 pm & Saturday, April 6th 10 am to 5 pm, First Congregational Church of Lebanon; Try your hand at an easy quilt project or bring an unfinished project! Free Injury Prevention Clinic – Tuesday, April 9th 7:15 pm, Cioffredi & Associates; Stay on your feet longer and pain free after Physical Therapists and Trainers from Cioffredi & Associates present running injury prevention strategies and best practices. Topics: Dynamic and static stretching, nutrition, hydration and common injuries.
