Lebanon Achieves SolSmart Silver 

In case you didn't hear the news, Lebanon was recently informed that it has been upgraded from SolSmart Bronze to Silver designation by the U.S. Department of Energy. This is the result of the D.O.E.’s reconsideration of two key features that the City had already put in place.

Only 5 Days Left to File

On March 12, 2019, registered voters will be electing four City Councilors, two Library Board Trustees, several Election Officials, three Lebanon School Board Members, and three School District Officials. Declarations of Candidacy for these offices will be accepted at the Lebanon City Clerk’s Office from 9:00 AM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 through 5:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

Vehicle Registration Tax Deductions

If you itemize deductions on your income tax return, you may claim the personal property tax amount of your car registration fees. On your vehicle registration, both State and Municipal fees paid are listed along the right-hand side of the document. The top fee listed is the State Fee, which is not tax deductible. Beneath that are the Municipal Fees. The portion which is tax deductible is labeled on your registration as "MOS/MILLS." (Please note, you cannot claim the small administrative fees.)

City Meetings Relocated

The elevator in Lebanon City Hall will be temporarily closed for repairs starting Monday, February 4, 2019 for approximately 3-4 weeks. During this time, no public meetings will be held in City Hall due to ADA compliance. Please review agendas carefully for meeting relocation details.

Recreation & Parks Highlights

Drop In Volleyball – Thursday, January 31st, 7:30pm to 9pm, SAU #88 Seminary Hill Building; Drop-in for an organized evening of bump, set, hit with power volleyball.

Snowshoe the APD Trails – Fridays, February 8th-15th 10 am to 12 pm, Alice Peck Day Trails; Bring snacks, water bottle, backpack, properly layered clothing, equipment as needed for these hikes. Call 603-448-5121 to register.

Cadillac Cuisine Club: Thompson Senior Center – Monday, February 11th 10:45am to 2:00pm; A noon-time dining out event for seniors! An opportunity to socialize with other seniors in the Upper Valley. Call 603-448-5121 to register.

Let’s Go Ice Fishing – Tuesday, February 12th 6pm to 8:30pm, Lebanon City Hall; Ages 8 to adult! NH Fish and Game’s program teaches the basics of ice fishing and finishes with an exciting field trip on February 17th where you can put your new skills to the test. Register online with NH Fish and Game.

Open Gym Basketball – Tuesday, February 12th 8pm to 10pm, Lebanon Middle School; Informal drop in basketball for adults ages 18 and up.

February Break Trips – Monday, February 18th through Thursday, February 21st; No school! Grades 5 and up, take advantage of school vacation for some fun February adventures including an Escape Room, Trampoline Park, Skiing/Snowboarding at Mount Sunapee and Burke Mountain and snow tubing at Pat’s Peak.
