Coming Soon! Online Permitting

The City of Lebanon is excited to announce that, beginning in the next few weeks, you will be able to electronically apply for and track the status of residential and commercial building permits using our new online portal powered by “City Squared”. Applications submitted through the new portal will be automatically uploaded to the City’s internal permit tracking software helping to save staff time and minimize data entry errors.

Possible City Hall Relocation

As part of its review of the proposed 2020 City Budget, Lebanon City Council will be considering a request for additional funding for renovations to City Hall. Should the Council approve the funding request, all City Hall Offices will be temporarily relocated to 20 West Park Street, Lebanon (former Citizens Bank location) and offices will be closed for two days in January.

Got food scraps? with photo of food waste

Got Food Scraps?

The Lebanon Solid Waste Facility has been receiving food waste from Upper Valley institutions for composting for more than a decade. Now they are looking to expand waste diversion options to include a residential drop-off for food scraps. To make this effort a success, they are looking for 50 households willing to participate in a 3 month pilot program. If you live in Lebanon and would like to participate, please complete our Food Scraps Pilot Program form before January 10, 2020.

On Saturday, December 14, 2019, the Lebanon Police Department will be in front of Walmart at 285 Plainfield Road in West Lebanon hosting a “Stuff A Truck” event from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Homeless Memorial Day and Candlelight Vigil

Please join us on Sunday, December 22nd at 4:30pm on Colburn Park (Lebanon Green) in Lebanon for a candlelight vigil to honor those affected by homelessness who passed away in 2019. The names of NH residents who have passed away will be read. Refreshments and candles will be provided.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Give the Red Sox fan in your life tickets to a baseball game this summer for the holidays. Join fellow Boston fans from Hartford Recreation to cheer on the Red Sox as they take on the Baltimore Orioles at 1:05pm on July 12th.

Tickets are Right Field Grandstand 2, Rows 11-15. The price includes the cost of the ticket and transportation with Premier Motor Coach. Departure from Fenway will occur immediately after the end of the game. Tickets are limited and sold on a first come first serve basis. Premier Motor Coach will depart the Hartford Town Hall at 8 am and return around 7pm.

Storrs Hill Lessons – Ages 4 to Adult at Storrs Hill Ski Area.  Operated by the Lebanon Outing Club, Storrs Hill Ski Area provides lessons for all ages and abilities in both Skiing and Snowboarding, as well as Racing/Ski Jumping (ages 7-18), Telemark Lessons (12+), Freestyle Team (7+) and Light Backcountry Skiing (18+). Let’s Go Ice Fishing – Thursday, January 23 5:30pm – 7:30pm Kilton Library & January 25 9am – 1pm, local fishing spot; Ages 8 to Adult! NH Fish and Game’s program teaches the basics of ice fishing with 1 day in a classroom setting and one day of fishing. For more information and to register go to the NH Fish and Game event page.

Intro to Belly Dancing – Saturday, Jan 11, 2020 11 am – 12 pm, CCBA Studio; Come sway, shimmy, and jingle with Gina Capossela as she teaches you basic beginner Belly Dancing moves and creates an entire dance just for you. Register for this FREE class at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Full Moon Fiesta – Saturday, Jan 11, 2020 6 pm – 8 pm, Storrs Hill Ski Lodge; Enjoy light food and hot beverages from local sponsoring restaurants. Proceeds benefit Lebanon Recreation and Parks Assistance Program and the Lebanon Outing Club. This is an eco-friendly event – please help reduce waste by bringing your own mug, spoon, & bowl! Open Gym Basketball – Tuesdays from 8pm to 10pm at Hanover Street School. No basketball on December 24th and December 31st. Call for access code. Program ends May 19, 2020.

Power Volleyball – Thursdays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in the SAU#88 Gymnasium until February 27, 2020. No Volleyball on December 12th and Dec 26th. Call 603-448-5121 for access code.
