The City of Lebanon is continuing to create and expand its Economic Development ‘Toolbox’, by adopting or implementing programs which can be used by, or made available to, businesses and property owners to help achieve the City’s overall goal of a strong and vibrant community. The following includes information about the programs that have been or are in the process of being implemented.
The Community Revitalization Tax Relief Incentive (RSA 79-E) Program allows the City to provide a temporary period of limited tax relief for property owners who wish to undertake substantial rehabilitation of a qualifying structure which will provide at least one public benefit.
The general goal of the Economic Revitalization Zones (ERZs) Tax Credit program is primarily to encourage retention and growth of existing businesses and the reuse of existing buildings.
The use of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) is a way to fund downtown infrastructure improvements. Preliminary financial analysis indicates that a TIF District in downtown Lebanon has the potential to fund many of the improvements recommended in the plan. Learn more.
