Spruce Up in September
Last Content Update:
Help “Spruce UP” either Lebanon/West Lebanon neighborhoods, downtowns, or favorite walking trails. Everyone can help and all you have to do is get a FREE blue bag(s) available at the Lebanon Recreation Office, or at the Lebanon Solid Waste Facility. Bring your full blue bag(s) back to the Lebanon Solid Waste Facility during the week of Sept. 4th – Sept. 22nd and you will not be charged for what you collected around town or your neighborhood. We thank you for helping SPRUCE UP your community!
DATE: September 4th through September 22nd.
Spruce Up Dates
Pick up your blue bags beginning Sunday, September 4, 2023 through Saturday, September 22, 2023.
How to Participate
Trash bags are provided and can be picked up at the Recreation, Arts, and Parks Office or at the Lebanon Solid Waste Facility during regular operating hours. No special equipment is needed but gloves and highly visible clothing are highly recommended.
While you are out for a walk, a hike, or on your favorite road or trail, take your blue bags with you and use them to pick up any roadside/neighborhood litter. Once you are finished, report where you cleaned up, and bring your bags to the Solid Waste Facility at no extra charge!
How to Report
This year we are using our new LebConnect service (powered by SeeClickFix) to report where clean-up has already taken place.
Here's how it works:
- From any mobile device, go to LebanonNH.gov/CleanUpReport;
- Enter the general location where you cleaned up;
- Snap a photo of your blue bag;
- Answer a few questions about your experience;
- Confirm your report and choose if you want to hide your identity, submit as a guest, or show your identity;
- Click submit.
Your clean-up report will show up on our interactive map so people can see where clean-up has already occurred and we will be able to tabulate the results for our reporting. You can also download the SeeClickFix app on your mobile device so you can report issues around the City, including our parks and trails, at a later date.
