2022 Election Schedule

March 8, 2022 City School Election

Registered voters will be electing 5 City Councilors (one from each ward and two at-large) for two-year terms, 3 at-large Library Board Trustees for three-year terms, 1 Ward 1 Supervisor of the Checklist for a one-year term, 3 Lebanon School Board Members for three-year terms, 1 School District Clerk for a one-year term,1 School District Treasurer for a one-year term and 1 School District Moderator for a one-year term. Declarations of Candidacy for City Council, Library Trustees, School Board Members and School District Officers are filed with the Office of the City Clerk in City Hall.
  • January 22 (Saturday), 9-9:30 am – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. NOTE: Last day to register to be able to vote at the February 5th School District Meeting. (Absentee voting and registering to vote the day of the meeting is not permitted by state law.)
  • January 24 (Monday), 6-6:30 pm - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall.
  • January 25 (Tuesday) at 9:00 am through February 8 (Tuesday) at 5:00 pm: Filing period for the following offices: City Council, Library Trustees, Supervisor of the Checklist, School Board Members, and School District Officers.
  • February 5 (Saturday) 9:00 am - Lebanon School District Deliberative Session – begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Hanover Street School Gym. Please note the NEW location. (Snow date is Monday, February 7th in Hanover Street School Gym.)
  • February 17 (Thursday) - Expected date for Absentee Ballots to be available.
  • February 24 (Thursday): Last day to register to vote at City Hall prior to Election.
  • February 26 (Saturday), 9:00-9:30 am – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. Last Day to register to vote prior to the March 8th election.
  • March 7 (Monday) – Last day for Absentee Ballots to be returned in person to City Hall.
  • March 8 (Tuesday) – City/School Election & Special Election Day – polls open from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.

September 13, 2022 State Primary Election

Voters who are Undeclared (aka Independent) may participate in this election. Upon checking in at the polling place, these voters will have the choice of taking a Democrat or Republican Ballot. Upon exiting, it is advised to change back to Undeclared if you wish to avoid having your party affiliation changed to Democrat or Republican. Any voters who are already Declared as a Democrat or Republican will automatically be provided with that party's ballot upon checking in at their polling place. Any voter who desires to change party affiliation or become Undeclared prior to the Primary, must change their party affiliation with the City Clerk's office before May 31, 2022.
  • May 31 (Tuesday) 6:00-6:30 pm - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall (Last day to change party affiliation prior to September Primary)
  • June 1 (Wednesday) at 9:00 am through June 10 (Friday) at 5:00 pm – Filing period for State Representatives and Delegates. Declarations of Candidacy are filed with the Office of the City Clerk. Please note Fridays our office is closed. However, our office will be open from 3 PM to 5 PM on Friday, June 10th for the filing period only. No other business will be conducted.
  • August 20 (Saturday) - 9AM to Noon. Extended hours at City Clerk's Office for Voter Registration and Absentee Balloting. 
  • September 1 (Thursday) – Last day to register to vote at City Hall Prior to Election.
  • September 1 (Thursday) 6:00-6:30 pm – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. Last day to register to vote prior to the State Primary Election.
  • September 12 (Monday) – Last day to accept Absentee Ballots returned in person.
  • September 13 (Tuesday) – State Primary Election. Polls open 7:00am – 7:00pm.

November 8, 2022 General Election

Voters do not need to Declare a party affiliation to participate in this election. All voters are provided with the same ballot. 
  • October 22 (Saturday) - 9AM to Noon -  City Clerk's Office Open for Voter Registration and Absentee Balloting.
  • October 27 (Thursday) – Last day to register to vote at City Hall during regular office hours, prior to Election.
  • October 29 (Saturday) 9AM to Noon - City Clerk's Office Open for Voter Registration and Absentee Balloting 
  • October 29 (Saturday) 11:30AM to Noon - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. Last opportunity to register to vote prior to the General Election.
  • November 5 (Saturday) 9AM to Noon - City Clerk's Office open for absentee balloting. 
  • November 7 (Monday) – Last day to accept Absentee Ballots returned in person.
  • November 8 (Tuesday) – General Election. Polls open 7:00am – 7:00pm.
