Traffic Advisories

The following traffic advisories reflect current conditions as they are known. The listings below reflect construction work that can affect travel on city streets, sidewalks, and trails. Expect traffic delays or use an alternate route, if possible. Please obey construction signs and flaggers. Construction will be conducted in accordance with COVID-19 safety precautions.

Active Projects

Route 12-A Paving

  • Status: As of July 1, pavement markings along Route 12A (in the area of the Upper Valley Plaza) has been largely completed. Remaining work includes the painting of fog lines along the very edges, Turn Arrows, and “ONLYs”.  The remaining work is scheduled to be completed the week of July 6, weather permitting.

Route 10 Culvert Replacement 

  • Status: Work is complete except for final paving. Final paving schedule to be determined.

Hillcrest Acres 

  • Status: Construction scheduled to begin July 6th through Nov 2020 with message boards to be placed the week of June 22, 2020.

Mascoma Street I-89 Bridge

  • Status: This is a NHDOT project that is scheduled for completion by late August 2020.

Mechanic Street Paving (CSO 11, CSO 12)

  • Status:  Paving of Mechanic Street is intended to extend from the intersection of High/Mascoma Street to Exit 19 and is anticipated to begin in early to mid-July.

Ruddsboro Road Bank Stabilization

  • Status: Work scheduled to begin August 2020 and is anticipated to take 4- 6 weeks. One lane to remain open during the day and two lanes at the end of the day.

Miracle Mile Pedestrian Crossing

  • Status: Ordering pedestrian crossing lights with anticipated delivery in mid-August. Installation tentatively planned for late-August to early-September.
