Project Overview

What is the scope of the project?

The project consists of the total reconstruction of Kimball Street, and the majority of Forest Avenue, including drainage, sewer, water, curbing, and sidewalk improvements.  The project will replace undersized pre-1931 unlined cast iron water pipes, undersized drainage pipes, and old deteriorated sewer lines showing high infiltration.  The project will also detect and eliminate illicit discharges including sump pumps connected to the sanitary sewer system.  The project is currently in the final engineering phase. Construction bidding will begin in March 2023.

How long is this going to take?

The project construction is expected to begin May/June of 2023 and will continue through to final completion on June 28, 2024, with likely a winter shutdown.
